- When Gabriella goes to the New Year's Eve Party, she has no coat, her book, and her purse. When she leaves she has her purse and a coat on, but her book is missing.
- In the locker room, the coach's sandwich goes from his hand to the desk to his hand and switches hands a few times in this scene. It also appears to get bigger and smaller a few times.
- In the scenes were Troy is running away to get to the musical audition, he starts off by wearing black three stripe tennis shoes. Then when he is running outside, he is wearing white tennis shoes. And then, when he is back inside, he is back to wearing the black tennis shoes.
- When Troy is leaning up against the wall outside his home room class, Jason comes out of the classroom and says something to Troy. Then after Gabriella comes out and is talking to Troy, Jason comes out of the classroom again.
- In the finale sequence there are two people with number 8 jerseys on.
- When Troy is looking at the auditions from the back, behind him there's a sign that says Twinkle Town; and then when he says "I'll sing with her", (when he's going to sing with Gabriella) the sign is not there behind him and the mops that he pushed away are close to him.

- When Troy and Gabriella are talking on New Years Eve, she has snow in her hair. The scene changes and she has no snow anywhere on her hair or body. It changes one or two times.
- Quite a few times in the movie, Taylor makes a mistake and calls Troy Trey.
- When Troy and Gabriellas callbacks start there is only an audience in the middle section of the room but as they sing and the song goes on you notice people in all three sections of the room. Then when the song finishes there are only people in the middle section again.
- When Troy is leaning up against a row of lockers waiting for Gabriella so they can go to their rehearsal, he looks at his wrist as if to check his watch, but he is not wearing a watch and clearly there is nothing else on his wrist.

- In the shot showing the front of the school where the buses are pulling up, all the cars have orange license plates on the front. In New Mexico, where the story was to have taken place, the license plates are yellow and they are only on the back of cars not the front.
- When Troy and Gabriella go to the roof of the school he is in a t-shirt and there are flowers blooming. According to the story it is supposed to be the middle of January. Albuquerque is at an elevation of 5,280 ft above sea level. The temperature is in the low to mid 40s during the day and below freezing at night. There are no green or blooming plants. Also the grass is green in Gabriella's yard and the leaves are on the trees.
- When Troy is about to say "I'll sing with her" you notice the teacher starts to turn around before he even says anything.
-When Troy's mom tells Troy to get ready for the "young adults party", his dad gives him the ball. After showing his mom's reaction, the camera turns back to Troy, but his dad is still holding the ball.
- When Troy and Gabriella swap phone numbers after New Years, Troy takes a photo of Gabriella by pointing the back of his phone and clicking. Troy's phone is a Nokia 6260, where the camera lens is located at the side of the phone.

-Dans les vestiaires, le sandwich du coach va de sa main au bureau et à sa main et change de mains plusieurs fois dans la scène. Il apparait aussi plus gros et plus petit à plusieurs reprises
-Dans la scène où Troy court pour se rendre aux auditions, il commence avec des chaussures (des tennis) noires avec trois rayures. Après quand il court dehors, il porte des tennis blanche. Et après, quand il est de retour à l'intérieur, il porte à nouveau les tennis noires
-Quand Troy est appuyé contre le mur en dehors de la salle de classe, Jason sort de la classe et dit quelque chose à Troy. Et après Gabriella sort et parle à Troy, Jason sort encore de la salle de classe.
